About BT Broadband & Mobile
BT (aka British Telecom) are the biggest provider of phone lines and broadband in the UK. A major event in 2016 was the purchase of EE by BT, bringing them into the mobile space too. BT offer TV services, with the major BT Sport TV channel, along with their broadband sales. All these factors together make them a quad play provider.
BT Fibre Broadband
BT have a huge asset in the UK – the copper telephone wires that are used, originally for voice communication, but now for broadband. BT’s headline broadband product is BT Infinity which is their 76mb FTTC offering which also experimenting with next generation G.Fast technologies. BT Broadband comes with many addons, the most appealing of which are BT Wifi, BT Web Protect and BT Cloud. BT is always the best first place to check for your broadband packages.
The latest BT Infinity is powered by BT’s new Smart Hub which is a very capable all round router.
With the purchase of EE, BT now operate two mobile brand: EE & BT Mobile. These are technically the same product as BT Mobile is a virtual operator on the EE network. BT have some very compelling prices for existing BT Broadband customers, so it is certainly worth checking these out.

BT also package up their telephony services for businesses, and are a leading provider.
