John Lewis Broadband

About John Lewis broadband

As part of their very broad product range, retail giant John Lewis also offer broadband and home phone services.

John Lewis broadband is based predominantly on Fibre to the Cabinet (fttc) technology, and non-fibre ADSL, supplied by Openreach. Speeds therefore can reach up to 76mb. See this link for an explanation of the technology.

As with all of their products and services, John Lewis broadband is sold on honesty and transparency. To this end, in late 2016 they did away with additional phone line charges so that that advertised figure is the one you’ll pay, now with a very simple pricing structure. You’re also likely to get John Lewis vouchers as a sign up bonus.

Switching to John Lewis Broadband

As John Lewis resell Openreach broadband lines, switching is simple.  It can be done via the Gaining Provider Led Process which is describe more fully here.
